Our philosophy

We are psychologically informed specialists that develop interventions and deliver outcomes that serve the people that matter.

We integrate people with various lived experiences into our work, so social value is something we live by, not just say.

We listen and develop impactful and lasting results.

Who we serve

Government – We live to serve people. The state lives to serve the people, so do we.

Communities – People matter. Our team possesses diverse lived experiences, which we carry into the work we deliver for our communities to achieve better outcomes.

Better futures – We’re future focused. We understand the world changes. We’re built to support tomorrow’s challenges by moving at the speed of culture.

How to use our services

Social Issues

SERVICE USER LED MENTAL HEALTH

For organisations that struggle with engaging communities, we help them understand strategies to build meaningful and trusted relationships with target communities. Often managing the project and aligning with policies and strategies can be complex. We help to build fairly costed projects that help statutory bodies and communities come together.

At the heart of many complex inequalities lies opportunities to develop targeted work to address a significant part of the larger problem. We’re useful to bodies like Combined Authorities, Department for Work &Pensions and Local Authority Commissioners in partnership approaches to delivering skills development programmes, short bootcamp courses and one-day interventions.

Ecological & Environmental

HELPING SUPPORT COMMUNITIES DELIVER GREEN PROJECTS

As our communities grow increasingly concerned about local and global effects of climate change, true collaborations are needed at all levels.

We take a citizen led approach to contributing to a cleaner and safer world. Behavioural insights and nudges play a part in ensuring individuals continue to make the right choices. This is where our group strategy stands out. We form a link between real world use and academia, research insights or innovations.

SEBD Group partners have been commissioned to lead behavioural change projects. Combined Authorities and funding bodies have worked with us to support community resilience groups such as Communities Prepared. SEBD Group play a role in engaging various stakeholders to prepare to listen to how communities want to be supported; in tandem our consortium supported the necessary technology and communications strategies to reach key influencers in communities.

Business

SUPPORTING BUSINESS/ BUSINESS CASE

Business development can take many forms. We understand many organisations are constrained with planning within financial years. Thislimits the possibilities of longer term, multi-year projects. We play a role in navigating long term strategies to sustaining initiatives. One example being working with 4000 tenant housing association to develop additional funding with 3rd sector partners to support their service users. This business development strategy was distinct for being focused around social value, rather than profit making.

NHS Business Cases are an internal process for justifying change, development or investment. It sits against all other alternative cases with the calculation of costs, benefits and execution pathways. Our collegiate approach with partners have made us strong partners for NHSteams navigating the latest guidance on Integrated Care Systems. We’re trusted to have key, accurate and contextual information for supporting business cases, strategic planning or change management.

Digital

DIGITAL SKILLS | DIGITAL INCLUSION | RESEARCH & INSIGHTS | TRAINING
& DEVELOPMENT

As Local Authorities and Combined Authorities are tasked with ensuring communities are able to grow and develop with changing times, there is a priority to promote digital inclusion. We have been an ongoing partner for developing and delivering digital inclusion mapping. Our approach to developing strong on-the-ground relationships helps us deliver strong research & insights projects.

As our portfolio of work develops, we’re trusted knowledge exchange partners. We contribute to developing training programmes for partners to help develop their talent in-house. Our partnership approach also helps us to train and develop wider workforces and multiple communities.

As we pride ourselves on moving at the speed of culture, we are attuned to the need for contemporary takes on a range of crucial training such as:
  • EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) training
  • Modern media & communications skills for bootcamps & sprint
    interventions
  • Mental Health & Occupational Health professional development
  • Community Research & User/ Community Led Research
